2023: A Year Full of Failures & Successes

I had a lot of big goals for 2023… and to be honest – many of them I failed at completing.

The amount of closed doors, rejections, physical hindrances, and technical issues can be so consuming it’s easy to lose site of everything else.

But failure is something I’ve become very familiar with over the years and although it’s always disappointing, it often serves as a reality check in managing expectations.

I know I tend to dream bigger than what’s realistic, but shooting for the moon will at least land me among the stars right?

Even with all the “failures” 2023 was one of the most incredible years of my life. So many things to be thankful for, appreciative of, and excited about.

And though I may have missed the mark on completing some of those lofty goals, one goal I NAILED last year was prioritizing spending more time with family as we relished in the joy of watching our daughter grow right before our eyes.

As we begin the start of another new year, I won’t make any big promises, but here’s one thing you can count on: no matter what life brings this year – I’ll keep that smile grinning from ear to ear.
